Information for Health Advocacy

Information is required to be a proper advocate. In self-advocacy, information on your own health conditions can make all the difference in the world in how you are able to communicate your question to  your doctor, seek appropriate accommodations with your disability workers, and share your reality with your friends and family.

I am accredited health information professional with AHIP (https://www.mlanet.org/academy) with a decade of professional experience as a Francophone Academic Medical Librarian, Interdisciplinary Heath Researcher and Nutrition Research Methodology Librarian Instructor.  I even am certified in Mental Health First Aid. More importantly, I have personal and patient experience in disability and navigating the ever changing reality of health and disability.
